As those of you who are regular readers of our posts know, Encore is a big believer in the use of outdoor to promote events.
We routinely use it for our clients so we took note of a major deployment two weeks ago by Clear Channel Airports (CCA) at Denver International Airport (DIA) as airport advertising offers unique opportunities to event organizers and exhibitors. If you want to keep up with the leading edge of this space, read more about what’s happening here.
Four new 26-foot LED video towers were unveiled at the 5th busiest airport in the U.S. which sees 50 million people a year. “The video towers are the largest digital displays currently in any U.S. Airport,” said John Ackerman, DIA’s chief commercial officer.
The digital installation is part of a 10-year contract between DIA and CCA, which will soon see additional digital units being rolled out as well and give DIA “one of the largest digital footprints of any North American airport.”
This advanced digital program will provide rich advertising opportunities, and the ability to update copy real-time, a great value driver for time-sensitive advertisers like event organizers and exhibitors.
